Ok so I am way behind...but it is my goal to catch up with all that has been going on in our lives. So here we go. This is from May 16: Kevin had a goal for Cody to catch his first fish while he was still one year old. Cody and Kevin accomplished this goal yesterday. We took the boat out yesterday morning with the intent of catching a fish. It was not the calmest of seas, but it wasn't big either. My parents went with us so that my dad could man the boat while Kevin helped Cody. I was in charge of catching it on camera, but of course the battery was dead in the good camera. I did however catch it on video (which won't load) and a few pictures on my phone. It took a while to find the right spot but once we did it all happened pretty fast. Kevin dropped the line of Cody's transformer fishing pole. We had a bite, as Kevin has taught Cody to say "Fresh one!" Cody help Kevin reel it in but the fish were too strong for his pole so Kevin was pulling the line in while Cody was reeling. They came to the surface and he had two Spanish Mackerels on. It was so exciting. Cody had a lot of fun. His excitement really came when we got back to the fuel dock and he could see the fish and give them a kiss. All in all a fun successful trip.
